About
Join the WPFC’s Training Specialist for a beginner-friendly prescribed fire training in Almond, WI! This hybrid-model course will give landowners, students, and volunteers the knowledge and skills to act as a crew member on a prescribed burn, with a focus on managing woodland ecosystems. Land managers will also gain insight into improving their fire management practices on their lands. Topics include fire ecology, tools, fuels & fire behavior, and safety and crew structures. This program includes a potluck lunch with a main dish provided by the instructor. Trainees are encouraged, but not required, to bring a side dish or dessert to contribute.
