Prescribed Burns are important tools for land stewardship and conservation, but what is a prescribed burn? Join us at the Pantol Campground Stage to Learn the answer. State Park Interpreter II Ryan Forbes will share photos, video, and stories from ongoing Wildfire and Forest Resilience work happening at Mount Tamalpais and around the North Bay. Ryan will talk about how prescribed burns help us adapt to a changing climate and protect not only our communities but plant and animal communities as well. Ryan Forbes has worked for California State Parks for 12 years, from ghost towns, to castles, and campgrounds. Currently he works as lead for the Bay Area District Education Team while also serving as a Public Information Officer for prescribed burn operations.
